Boring can be viewed as the internal-diameter counterpart to turning, which cuts external diameters.<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\nThere are various types of boring. The boring bar may be supported on both ends (which only works if the existing hole is a through hole), or it may be supported at one end (which works for both through holes and blind holes). Lineboring (line boring, line-boring) implies the former. Backboring (back boring, back-boring) is the process of reaching through an existing hole and then boring on the \u201cback\u201d side of the workpiece (relative to the machine headstock).","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"In machining, boring is the process of enlarging a hole that has already been drilled","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":155,"parent":41,"menu_order":1,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/116"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=116"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/116\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":117,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/116\/revisions\/117"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/41"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/155"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=116"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=116"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.dhanarya.in\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=116"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
